U.S. President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran with a 48-hour deadline to finalize a deal or face the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. In response to these threats, Iranian authorities reacted sharply, as reported by international media.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social on April 4, stated that Iran has only 48 hours left before "all hell breaks loose" on the country.

In response, General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, representing Iran's top military command, warned that if there is a new strike on Iranian infrastructure, "the gates of hell" will open for the U.S. The Iranian side also characterized Washington's threats as unreasonable and reckless.

Previously, Trump had made similar demands of Tehran but had postponed deadlines during negotiations. Tensions between the countries continue to persist amid the ongoing conflict in the region.
