According to information from the Patrol Service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek, the incident occurred on January 29 at around 1:00 PM on 7 April Street, when the driver of a Hyundai Sonata hit a child and fled the scene of the accident.
According to the driver, he was distracted by a passenger sitting in the back, which led to the collision with the child. He drove away in a state of shock and later expressed regret about what had happened.
The department urges all drivers not to leave the scene of an accident.
