The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the ice cover becomes especially dangerous during this period.
“The thickness of the ice can vary, and it can unexpectedly break, posing a serious threat to the life and health of people. Do not leave children unattended and take precautions when fishing and walking near the water,” the press service added.
In January and February, tragic events occurred in Bishkek and the Chui region: several children fell through the ice and died.
