The incident occurred on February 3, when a resident of Bishkek filed a complaint with the Alamedin District Police Department regarding fraud by an acquaintance. According to him, in 2024, he handed over a minivan valued at $20,000, as well as 1 million 500 thousand soms, promising bricks in return. However, the promise turned out to be a deception.
The total damage caused by the actions of the fraudster amounted to 2 million 388 thousand 148 soms.
This case was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement agencies detained two suspects: J.E., born in 1993, and A.K., born in 1992. They are currently being held in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, it was established that the detainees may be involved in five similar crimes committed in the Alamedin District. The police believe that these are not the only cases and are appealing to citizens who have been victims of the suspects' actions or who have any information to report to the following numbers: 0 (554) 000-922, 0 (777) 794-909.
