According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a woman born in 2008 and a man born in 1996 fell through the ice.
Four rescuers from the Karakol City Department No. 15 arrived at the scene, who quickly retrieved the woman from the water and handed her over to the medical team. The man was rescued by a local resident before the rescue team arrived.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns that the ice on water bodies and in the coastal zone is currently thin and dangerous. Going out onto the ice, as well as engaging in winter sports, can pose a serious threat to life.
Rescuers strongly urge parents to keep an eye on their children and not allow them to go out onto the ice.
