A citizen suspected of fraudulent activities related to the sale of an apartment in the residential complex "Nova City" has been detained in Bishkek. This information was provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
The investigation established that 43-year-old U.T. fraudulently obtained 284,267 dollars from the victim from October 2020 to February 2024, posing as a potential buyer of an apartment on Maxim Gorky Street. The money has not been returned so far.
A criminal case has been initiated against this individual under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The police are also checking for possible involvement in other similar crimes.
