During the event, 37 vehicles were identified, most of which are SUVs, and they were sent to the impound lot in Tokmok.
According to the information from the Main Department of Internal Affairs, these vehicles were equipped with additional fuel tanks used for the smuggling of fuel and lubricants from Kazakhstan and their illegal sale along the highway. As a result, each vehicle owner was fined 5,500 soms.
The vehicles will not be released from the impound lot until the additional tanks are dismantled.
