At the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, the editorial office of Kaktus.media confirmed that on February 18, the court granted the request of the investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' investigative service. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen for Tolonov, who is accused under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, until April 16 in a pre-trial detention center.
As clarified by the presidential administration on February 21, Chynberdi Tolonov previously held the position of head of the state buildings department under the Presidential Administration. Since the end of December 2025, this position has been held by Temirkul Baltabaev.
