On February 26, the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Lenin District reported that police officers helped return a lost wallet to a resident of Bishkek, which contained a significant amount of money.

The incident occurred on February 14, when the assistant duty officer of the Special Operations Battalion GOM-1, Bolotbek uulu Elaman, and police lieutenant colonel Toktosun uulu Erkebek began their shift. At the intersection of Moscow and Fuchik streets, they noticed a black wallet left on the curb.

After checking the find, the officers discovered documents and a bundle of money inside. Soon, the wallet was taken to the station, where they were able to identify the owner using the found documents and contacted him.

It turned out that the resident of the capital had not even noticed the loss. When counting the money, he discovered that there was almost 1 million soms in the wallet, and the documents remained in place.

The Bishkek resident expressed his gratitude to the police officers and requested that the leadership reward them for their commendable actions. As a result, the leadership of the Lenin District Interior Ministry awarded the officers with letters of appreciation for their service.
