According to a statement submitted on February 24, 2026, a citizen named M.M. reported the theft to the district police. He stated that around 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Garden Hotel, an unknown individual broke the rear window of his Lexus RX and stole a Stefano bag worth 166,000 soms, after which the perpetrator fled the scene.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was opened under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code.
Police officers conducted operational search activities, during which a 26-year-old A.B., who had previously had legal issues for similar crimes, was identified and detained.
The suspect was taken to the investigative service of the district's Internal Affairs Department and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
During the investigation, searches were conducted at A.B.'s residence, resulting in the discovery and seizure of physical evidence. His connection to other similar crimes was also established.
