It became known that a woman named Zh.I. contacted the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, reporting the theft of her mobile phone.
On February 5, 2026, at 5:30 PM, she boarded bus No. 135 at the Osh market, and after reaching Lavanovsky Street, she noticed that her iPhone 16 Pro was missing.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, officers of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek detained A.A., who had previous convictions and was registered as a pickpocket. The suspect was taken to the investigative department of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The Lenin District Court decided to impose a preventive measure on the suspect in the form of detention for a period of two months, with confinement in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Bishkek.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect managed to sell the stolen mobile phone at the Osh market. During searches conducted at the location where mobile devices were sold, more than 60 phones were discovered and seized, including the complainant's phone.
