In connection with the criminal case, necessary judicial examinations have been appointed. Investigative actions and operational activities aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the case are ongoing, noted representatives of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
Recall that Azhiev was detained in June 2023 on suspicion of organizing webcam studios. He attempted to fly to the United Arab Emirates via Uzbekistan, where he was detained. E. A. also approached the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) with a statement about extortion of money from him. According to him, Azhiev, while working as an operator of webcam studios, violated work rules and was subjected to psychological pressure from the administrator, who threatened him and demanded $2000.
Subsequently, the investigating judge of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek decided to impose an arrest on Azhiev's property with subsequent confiscation of apartments, houses, and cars, the total value of which amounted to 262 million soms. The court sentenced Azhiev to nine years of imprisonment. On February 18, it became known about his pardon by the president.
