A certain citizen contacted the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, formalized a contract, and paid about 270,000 soms in cash, indicating the route from the village of Petrovka to the capital.
Representatives of the agency noted: "We have a ban on the transportation of weapons, explosives, drugs, as well as individuals who are wanted." However, after information emerged that Azhiev boarded the helicopter, the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations initiated an internal investigation. As a result, a decision was made on the need to verify the purposes of helicopter rentals in the future.
In 2024, Daniel Azhiev was sentenced to 9 years in prison with property confiscation. The Pervomaisky District Court found him guilty on several counts of the Criminal Code, including Article 160 Part 1 ("Organization or maintenance of brothels for prostitution or pimping for debauchery or procuring"), Article 161 ("Distribution of pornographic materials"), Article 261 Part 1 ("Creation of an organized group or participation in it"), and Article 215 Part 3 ("Causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust").
Additionally, he was banned from engaging in entrepreneurial activities for two years, sentenced to serve his punishment in a general regime correctional colony, and fined 220,000 soms.
