Anarkulov is suspected under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, including Article 41, Part 2, Article 36, and Article 278, Part 1, related to "Organization and preparation for mass riots." He will remain in detention center No. 1 until April 10.
According to sources, Anarkulov is considered close to the former head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev.
On February 9, information appeared on social media and in the mass media that 75 citizens had appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and then-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, requesting the immediate organization of new presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. The appeal was signed by representatives of science, former prime ministers, former deputies, and public figures.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that some statements from the appeal sparked "wide discussions among the population and exacerbated the socio-political situation in the country."
On February 11, several high-profile figures were detained, including the coordinator of the "People's Parliament," former head of the Prime Minister's Office Bekbolot Talgarebekov, as well as the former ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Emilbek Uzakbaev, former presidential representative in the Jogorku Kenesh Kurmanbek Dyikanbaev, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov, and former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Aaly Karashe.
