
According to information obtained from judicial sources, they were sentenced to two months of detention, until April 10. The suspects will be held in the pre-trial detention center SIZO-1.
Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a number of high-ranking officials, including Bekbolot Talgarkbekov, a public figure, as well as the former ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Emilbek Uzakbaev and former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Kurmanbek Dyikanbaev. Later, former Deputy Prime Minister Aaly Karashev and former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov were also detained.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees under part 1 of Article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
It is worth noting that earlier a group of public figures and officials appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu with a request to hold new presidential elections. The appeal was signed by 75 people, which attracted the attention of investigative authorities.
After that, interrogations of all signatories began, and several of them were detained.
