On February 26, the Bishkek City Court sent the criminal case against Imamidin Tashov, the head of the construction company "KG Group," back to the First May District Court.

According to the press service of the city court, Tashov's petition was granted, and the case was sent to the district court for proper processing.

“The materials of the criminal case lack the appeal and the petition for the restoration of the missed deadline from the accused Tashov, submitted on December 30, 2025. These documents were received by the office of the First May District Court but were not included in the criminal case,” the press service clarified.

Tashov was detained in April 2024 by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) in the village of Kainy after he was declared wanted for attempting to violently seize power. While in custody, during the consideration of the preventive measure, the businessman attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a sharp object. The guards intervened in time, and he was taken to a medical facility, where he received the necessary assistance and was referred for outpatient treatment.

On July 25, 2025, the First May District Court found Tashov guilty on several counts: Article 36-326 (“Preparation for the violent seizure of power”), Article 34 Part 2 Clause 2 Article 327 (“Public calls for the violent seizure of power”), Article 378 Part 1 (“Illegal crossing of the State border of the Kyrgyz Republic”), and sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment.
