It was previously reported that K. A., born in 1984, was detained on suspicion of the brutal murder and rape of 17-year-old Aysulu Mukasheva. The suspect confessed to committing several serious crimes in recent years. The investigation established that his criminal activities could have been stopped as early as 2015 when he was detained for attempted murder of a 21-year-old woman, and his guilt was proven. The Oktyabrsky District Court sentenced him to 12 years in prison. "However, in 2016, the Bishkek City Court, consisting of judges S. B., Zh. M., and K. A., with the assistance of prosecutor D. M. and lawyer S. Zh., violated the norms of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and mitigated the sentence. As a result, the criminal was released after three years and continued his criminal activities," the statement says.
Currently, former judges S. B., Zh. M., and K. A. are charged under articles 336 "Corruption" and 352 "Issuance of an unjust verdict or other judicial act" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Prosecutor D. M. is also charged under article 336 "Corruption." All the accused have been placed in custody by the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
