In the city of Osh, a fake police officer was detained for extorting money

In the Osh region, a young man was detained for posing as a police officer and extorting money from local residents. This information was provided by the press service of the city's Internal Affairs Department.

According to available data, the incident occurred on March 9 at around 3 a.m. near the "Semetey" cinema located on I. Razakov Street. The perpetrator, who introduced himself as "Eldiyar," accused a 23-year-old man of insulting his sister and began threatening him with arrest and criminal charges.




Under the pretext of resolving the conflict, he extorted money using threats. As a result, the victim handed over 10,500 soms and his passport. Later, the perpetrator contacted him again by phone and demanded an additional 5,000 soms, threatening with a criminal case.

The victim reported the incident to the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Osh region. Following an investigation, the materials of the case were transferred to the investigative department of the Ak-Buura police station.

Based on the collected evidence, a criminal case was initiated on March 11 under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (extortion).

On March 12, during operational activities on U. Saliev Street, the suspect was caught in the act while attempting to extort money and a mobile phone from the victim again. The operation was conducted by officers of the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police, and the State National Security Committee.

The detained individual turned out to be J. uulu J., born in 2001, originally from the Uzgen district. It has been established that he has no connection to law enforcement agencies.

The suspect has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Osh city Internal Affairs Department, and investigative actions are ongoing.
