According to available information, the suspect, using his alleged connections with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, deceitfully obtained the sum of $500 from citizen Zh.A.Z.
Previously, a criminal case had been initiated against Zh.A.Z. by the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk District.
After this, the suspect began to threaten Zh.A.Z., claiming that the investigation intended to soon apply a measure of restraint related to imprisonment. He stated that he could influence the course of the investigation and resolve the situation, for which he demanded an additional $2,000.
On February 18, in Bishkek, within the framework of the criminal case under Article 343 "Extortion of a Bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ch.R.Z. was detained while receiving 45,000 soms.
He is currently placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
Investigative actions are ongoing, aimed at identifying other possible accomplices.
