
Since March 17, 2026, an operational and preventive event called 'Arsenal' has been launched in the Alamedin district. Within the framework of this operation, police officers conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with the rules for the storage and use of firearms and gas-traumatic weapons, as well as ammunition. This was reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Chuy Region.
During the raids, special attention is paid to owners registered with the police, including hunters. The necessary documents and the conditions for storing weapons in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan are checked.
During the operation, 58 units of weapons were seized, including:
- 5 units of rifled;
- 41 units of smoothbore;
- 11 units of gas-traumatic;
- 1 unit of award weapon.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against violators under the Code of Offenses. The total amount of fines imposed reached 93 thousand soms, of which 54 thousand have already been collected into the budget.



The Alamedin District Department of Internal Affairs reminds all weapon owners of the importance of adhering to storage rules and timely renewal of permits. Violations may result in liability under the law.
The preventive measures 'Arsenal' are conducted in the Chuy region on a regular basis with the aim of reducing the risks of serious crimes related to firearms. According to law enforcement agencies, in 2025, increased control over civilian weapon owners led to a 12 percent decrease in incidents related to careless handling of ammunition.
