According to law enforcement, on January 19, information was received about suspicious individuals at the livestock market in Tokmok who might be involved in illegal arms trading.
During operational activities, the men were detained: S.Z., born in 1982, and T.K., born in 1994. Both suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
A criminal case has been initiated against them under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition."
As a result of a search at S.Z.'s residence, the following items were found and seized:
- rifled weapon of 5.6 millimeter caliber;
- shotgun "IZH-17" of 12 caliber;
- barrel of a shotgun of 16 caliber;
- more than 30 cartridges and shells of various calibers;
- components for reloading cartridges;
- 29 homemade knives;
- books of religious content;
- two state license plates;
- dried plant material, the type of which is being determined.
Judicial examinations have been appointed for the seized property.
