Events unfolded on October 29, 2025, when officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Jayil District, together with representatives of the public organization "Kalinin Inter-District Society of Hunters and Fishermen," conducted a raid, resulting in the capture of poachers with firearms for which the necessary permits were absent.
In connection with this incident, a preliminary investigation was initiated, during which expert examinations were appointed. According to the received conclusions, the seized rifles are classified as rifled firearms, specifically hunting rifles "TOZ-16" and "TOZ-8" with a single-shot system.
On February 2, the police initiated a criminal case under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning illegal arms trafficking and ammunition, and on February 16, two individuals were detained: M.M. and K.R., both born in 1988. The detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
