According to Ergeshov, there has been an increase in fraudulent schemes during the sending of citizens for seasonal work in the United Kingdom.
He noted that fraudsters use targeted advertising, often placing it from abroad, and promise high-paying jobs in the UK and Germany, with earnings of up to $6,000, which, unfortunately, attracts Kyrgyz citizens.
Ergeshov also added that if the money was transferred to an account in Kyrgyzstan, its return is possible with the help of law enforcement agencies. Otherwise, it is necessary to engage Interpol mechanisms.
A specialized department has been created in the Ministry of Internal Affairs to combat cybercrime. Last year, law enforcement agencies took 78 measures against illegal agencies operating in the country, he noted. For illegal actions related to employment abroad, fines are imposed: 55,000 soms for legal entities and 15,000 soms for individuals. Criminal liability is also provided for organizing illegal migration, which can lead to imprisonment for a term of one to three years.
