Employees of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic detained a citizen of Azerbaijan, known as A.S., who is suspected of fraudulent activities. This was reported by the agency's press service.
As law enforcement agencies have found out, this man impersonated a national security employee and deceived trusting citizens, obtaining money from them under various pretenses.
One of the victims reported that A.S. introduced himself as an employee of the GKNB and promised to help her son, who was in custody at the pre-trial detention center No. 1. As a result, he gained control of 24,100 dollars and 100,000 soms.
Additionally, another victim stated that in September 2025, the suspect, promising to help with employment for citizens of Vietnam, received 14,000 dollars but failed to fulfill his obligations, disappearing with the money.
Currently, investigative actions are being conducted, and the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
