Kyrgyzstan is already on the brink of significant demographic changes expected in the coming decades. This information became available during the presentation of an analytical review dedicated to the current situation.

According to forecasts, by 2030, the number of citizens over 65 years old will be around 7%, and by 2050, this figure will rise to nearly 19%. This will bring the country to levels comparable to European states and create new challenges for social protection and healthcare.

Experts emphasize that "Kyrgyzstan has already entered the phase of demographic aging. This is not something distant, but a real reality that requires a comprehensive approach and interaction among various agencies. The issue of the increasing number of people over 75 years old — the most vulnerable group in need of special attention and support — is particularly acute."

According to their data, rapid demographic changes, high levels of poverty, regional disparities, and a lack of specialized services create certain risks, but at the same time open up opportunities for promoting active longevity in the country.
