The request from the authorities of Kyrgyzstan for the issuance of an international arrest warrant for Rinat Tukhvatshin, co-founder of the independent online publication Kloop, was rejected by Interpol. The organization deemed that the request had political motives. This was reported by OCCRP.

According to the publication, Bishkek approached Interpol with a request for a red notice, which requires member countries to detain the wanted person for further extradition.

Samuel Heit, Interpol's Director of Communications, confirmed the receipt of the request but noted its rejection. He emphasized that Interpol's constitution strictly prohibits the use of the system for political purposes, which was the reason for the denial in this case.

Despite this, for some time, the notice for the search of Rinat Tukhvatshin remained accessible in the law enforcement systems of several countries.

The journalist, who is currently in exile, stated that the authorities of Kyrgyzstan "abused the Interpol system," which, in his opinion, negatively affects the international reputation of the country. "This system is meant for tracking dangerous criminals around the world, while our authorities use it to persecute journalists, particularly me. I am not afraid, as I have done nothing wrong and have not broken the law. I am confident that I will be fine. But I am ashamed for my country," Rinat Tukhvatshin commented on the situation.

It is worth noting that on October 27, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek granted the prosecutor's lawsuit, recognizing the materials of the online publications Temirov Live, Kloop Media, and "Ayt Ayt dese" as extremist. In this decision, the activities of the founder of Temirov Live, Bolot Temirov, and the co-founder of Kloop, Rinat Tukhvatshin, were classified as "extremist."
