







The press service of the Bishkek mayor's office reported on the procurement of new uniforms for the city's social workers.
In Bishkek, there are 84 social workers employed in the Departments of Social Development, which corresponds to the established staffing level. Of these, 30 specialists deal with issues related to families and children in difficult life situations, while 54 employees provide services to 562 elderly people and persons with disabilities who live independently and require assistance.
The key responsibilities of social workers include:
- identifying and supporting families and children in challenging conditions;
- conducting assessments of the living conditions of applicants;
- assisting in the restoration of documents and obtaining targeted social assistance;
- participating in raids to identify and protect children in dangerous situations.
