At the age of 93, Hero of Socialist Labor Mukhen Sydykova passed away
The farewell ceremony will take place on December 5 in her native village of Saruu.
Muken Sydykova was born on June 10, 1933, in the village of Saruu to a peasant family. Her father, Sydyk Raimbekov, and mother, Bubu, were engaged in sewing.
From 1941 to 1951, she studied at the secondary school in the village of Saruu, enduring the difficult wartime and post-war years. After graduating from school, she began working at the Kuibyshev collective farm.
In 1960, Muken became an apprentice at the "Krasny Shveinik" sewing factory, where she quickly mastered her duties. Later, the factory was merged into the "Pervoye Maya" association in Frunze.
In 1965, she was accepted into the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and represented delegates at party congresses.
On March 19, 1967, she was elected as a deputy of the Pervomaisky District Council.
On October 6, 1967, she was awarded the badge "Excellence in Socialist Competition of the Light Industry of the USSR."
From 1969 to 1977, she represented the interests of the Frunze City Council of Deputies of the Kyrgyz SSR.
On March 30, 1970, on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Muken was awarded the jubilee medal "For Valorous Labor in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin."
On March 17, 1981, she was awarded the Order of "Hero of Socialist Labor" by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
On November 1, 1985, for her long service, she was awarded the "Veteran of Labor" medal on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
From 1985 to 1990, Muken was a member of the Committee of Soviet Women.
On February 25, 2016, she received the "Kanykey" order from the public and environmental association "Ala-Too Aymandary."
