Bakyt Torobaev Familiarized Himself with the Work of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Automobile Plant "Tulpar Motors"

Bakyt Torobaev, holding the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, visited the automobile plant "Tulpar Motors," which is a joint Kyrgyz-Uzbek project. During the visit, he got acquainted with the production processes at the plant.

According to the press service, the plant was officially opened on July 18, 2024, with the participation of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, and Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in an online format.

This project is the result of an agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, aimed at producing passenger and commercial vehicles.

The plant has the potential to produce up to 10,000 vehicles annually, with the possibility of increasing to 30,000 in the future. The project plans to create more than 1,000 jobs. Construction work began in May 2023, and the total area of the enterprise is 4.5 hectares.

To support the sales of vehicles produced at "Tulpar Motors," a program for "Preferential Auto Loans" has been initiated.

The lending conditions are as follows:

The interest rate is 8% per annum.

The down payment is 20%.

The participating banks in the program are "Eldik Bank" and "Aiyl Bank."

"The launch of the 'Tulpar Motors' automobile plant represents a new stage in the development of the automotive industry of Kyrgyzstan, which will significantly increase the production capacity of the country. The total investment in the project is approximately 50 million US dollars, and the implementation is taking place in three stages," the official statement emphasizes.
