In Tash-Kumyr, the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 30 megawatts has begun. Currently, special supports for solar panels are being installed on the site, and preparatory work is ongoing.

Recently, representatives of the presidential envoy in the Jalal-Abad region visited the site. The project is being implemented by the company "GRK Solar Energy" with total costs of 20 million dollars. The first stage of construction is nearing completion — it is expected that the first 5 megawatts of energy will be generated by the end of the year.

According to project manager Nurdin Niyazov, a similar station was previously built in Bishkek. The area where construction is currently taking place was previously used for coal mines but has been fully reclaimed and is ready for commercial use.

Experts conducted preliminary checks and concluded that this area is one of the most effective for placing solar power plants. The project will be commissioned in phases, with a total capacity of 30 megawatts.

According to the presidential envoy's office, the solar power plant in Tash-Kumyr will be one of the first projects in this direction for the Jalal-Abad region.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the head of "GRK Solar Energy" is Toroев Asanbek Abakirovich. The founder of the company is the LLC "Computing Technology and Automation Means," registered on March 2, 2005, specializing in the production of precious metals.
