The construction of a solar power plant has begun in the Issyk-Kul region. This became possible thanks to the signing of an additional agreement between the Ministry of Energy, Sonningdale Limited, and the LLC "RECA," as reported by the ministry's press service.

The implementation of this project will not only promote the development of renewable energy but also improve the country's energy security and attract foreign investments.

The additional agreement clarifies key aspects of the project, including the parties' responsibilities, stability guarantees, as well as the procedure for resolving potential issues and applicable legislation.

Currently, work is underway at the construction site to prepare temporary housing for workers, pour the foundation for the substation and the 110-kilovolt power transmission line, as well as install brackets for solar panels.

This project represents a significant step towards the development of clean energy in Kyrgyzstan and will help reduce dependence on traditional sources of electricity.

Energy Minister Talaybek Ibraev visited the construction site and noted that work is progressing strictly according to schedule: 104.5 megawatts of solar panels have already arrived at the site, and preparations for housing for workers and the installation of support brackets are nearing completion.
