Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam have started the construction of a solar power plant

Active preparatory work is already underway at the construction site


An additional agreement on the investment contract was signed at the Ministry of Energy with Sonningdale Limited and the company "RECA". This document clarifies the details of project implementation, including risk management and interaction between the parties, as well as the procedure for applying legislation.
According to the Ministry of Energy's website, the signing of this agreement has become a key moment in the process of creating and operating a solar power plant in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk, located in the Toru-Aigyr rural district of the Issyk-Kul region. The new document aims to provide detailed clarification of the conditions of the initial investment agreement, including the distribution of responsibilities, guarantees of stability, and the procedure for resolving potential risks.
Currently, temporary living quarters for workers are being set up at the construction site, the foundation for the substation and the 110 kV power line is being poured, and support structures for future solar panels are being installed.
Earlier, Energy Minister Talaybek Ibraev checked the progress of the work and confirmed that it is proceeding according to schedule. Solar panels with a total capacity of 104.5 MW have already been delivered to the site, and the installation of structures and the development of infrastructure for employees is ongoing.
