Kyrgyzstanis in South Korea Informed About the Procedure for Interacting with the Police

In Jeonju, located in the North Jeolla Province, a meeting was held organized by a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan for the citizens of the republic. This event took place at the Foreign Workers Support Center in Jeonbuk with the support of the Kyrgyz diaspora "Datkayim," according to information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KR.

Among the participants of the meeting were labor migrants from North Jeolla Province and South Jeolla Province, as well as students and women from Kyrgyzstan married to South Koreans, along with representatives of the local police and employees of the Foreign Workers Support Center.

During the event, explanations were provided on important issues, including crime prevention, extremism, terrorism, drug trafficking, and cybercrime. Participants were informed about how to address and interact with South Korean authorities in cases of crimes affecting Kyrgyz citizens.

Significant attention was given to issues of protecting labor and social rights, as well as possible ways to resolve labor disputes. Police officers from Jeonju provided information on measures to combat domestic violence, while employees of the Foreign Workers Support Center talked about their activities aimed at protecting the rights of foreign citizens and providing free consulting and legal assistance.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KR noted that such meetings contribute to strengthening interaction with citizens of the country abroad and enhancing their legal awareness.
