The mayor of the Osh region, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, shared with the Kabar agency the results of the mayor's office's work and outlined future plans covering a wide range of tasks—from opening new educational institutions to attracting investments and resettling citizens.

According to Toktorbaev, President Sadyr Japarov addressed a number of pressing issues at the recent Kurultai, where 40 delegates from Osh attended. The forum is being held at a high organizational level.

The mayor noted that, according to the president, the management of the state should be characterized by transparency, efficiency, and the absence of corruption. He added that the mayor's office staff actively work not only in offices but also on the ground: the workday starts at 6 a.m., and until 9:00 a.m., they conduct raids to identify and address problems directly in the areas.

Toktorbaev reported high results for this year, noting that about 95% of the planned tasks have been completed. Among them are the construction and repair of roads, landscaping of parks, planting trees, and the development of social facilities. This year, five schools and six kindergartens have been opened, two of which were built with local budget funds.

He also emphasized the support from the president, noting that the city received new equipment worth about 500 million soms. For the development of road infrastructure, 2.7 billion soms have been allocated, and for social facilities—1.7 billion soms from the republican budget.

Specifically, Toktorbaev addressed the issue of demolishing illegal constructions: 718 objects have been dismantled. "We worked with the owners individually, explaining the situation and arranging compensations, providing them with trading points and plots. We resettled residents, and in Kyzyl-Kyshtak, we transformed 46 hectares of land for those affected. Currently, the construction of 241 houses has been completed, and 106 families have already been given the opportunity to move in. The official opening is scheduled for January 15," the mayor added.

Additionally, he spoke about planned projects. In 2026, a waste processing plant is expected to be launched with the involvement of Chinese investors. The construction of an overpass bridge and the completion of work on wastewater treatment facilities are also planned in the city. Investment attraction continues with the Chinese company "Kunlun" for about 30 million dollars. The construction of the residential complex "Osh City" is also underway.
