The agency responsible for water resources, agriculture, and the processing industry has warned of a potential shortage of irrigation water in the upcoming 2026 growing season.

According to the ministry, climate change and a decrease in precipitation may lead to water shortages in certain regions. Therefore, farmers are strongly advised to organize the rational use of water resources in advance.

In particular, the agency recommends implementing water-saving technologies such as drip and sprinkler irrigation, as well as cultivating crops with low water consumption and using drought-resistant seed varieties.

The ministry also emphasized that during irrigation, water distribution will occur on a fair and balanced basis. Farmers are encouraged to contact local agricultural offices for additional information.
