
On January 18, a tragic railway disaster occurred in the Spanish town of Adamus, located in the south of the country. As a result of the collision of two passenger trains, at least 39 people were killed and more than 120 were injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that, according to preliminary data from the Spanish authorities, no Kyrgyzstani citizens were found among the injured or deceased. The embassy in France has also not received any requests for assistance from citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
The ministry and the embassy continue to maintain contact with Spanish services and are closely monitoring the situation's development.
