A tragic incident occurred in the Uzgen district, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man. According to the press service of the regional internal affairs department, the police of the Osh region arrested a suspect in his death.
The event took place on January 24, when a call was received at the Uzgen police station from the district hospital. The victim, identified as E. M., born in 1999, was brought there. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, he died from a serious penetrating wound inflicted by a sharp object.
The investigative authorities have initiated a criminal investigation under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Murder"). As a result of operational-search activities, the identity of the suspect was quickly established. He turned out to be a 30-year-old local resident, K. uulu S., who attempted to flee after the incident. He is currently detained and held in a temporary detention facility.
According to preliminary data, the conflict that led to the tragic outcome arose from a road dispute between the men, who could not agree on the right of way. Judicial examinations have been appointed, and law enforcement agencies continue to gather evidence.
