The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree that introduces a trial period from January 30 to August 30, 2026. This regime is aimed at improving the regulation of educational activities related to the training and retraining of drivers of motor vehicles.

During this trial period, licenses previously issued to private educational organizations (driving schools) will be suspended. Thus, educational functions will be carried out exclusively by state driving schools.

The Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan has been tasked with preparing drafts of the necessary regulatory legal acts based on the results of the trial period for further consideration by the President's Administration.

According to the press service of the head of state, this decree has been adopted with the aim of optimizing the system of state regulation of licensed activities, enhancing the efficiency of the existing licensing process, and developing optimal organizational and legal solutions.
