Names have been changed. The investigation established that in 2023 and 2024, Osmon imported construction materials, consumer goods, melons, and vegetable crops from EAEU countries through the "Chon-Kapka" checkpoint.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the man used a "sustainable tax evasion scheme," underreporting both the volumes and the prices of the goods sold, including cement, furniture, watermelons, melons, and construction materials. In 2023, Osmon imported goods worth 1 million 448 thousand 660 soms, and in 2024 — worth 17 million 274 thousand 231 soms. There were also recorded inventories of goods valued at 1 million 498 thousand 270 soms.
"The absence of invoices, waybills, and other documents for the goods confirms the deliberate distortion of tax accounting and tax evasion," the case materials state.
- By the decision of the Talas City Court, Osmon was found guilty under part 1 of Article 242 "Evasion of tax and (or) other mandatory payments to the budget" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court imposed a fine of 50 thousand soms and recovered material damages (tax arrears) amounting to 4 million 572 thousand 961 soms in favor of the Talas State Tax Service.
- The Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Talas Regional Court upheld the sentence.
