Key aspects concerning stocks of fuel and lubricants and the current pricing situation were discussed at the event, as well as ensuring stable supplies of petroleum products to the domestic market.
According to the agency, despite the ongoing geopolitical tensions, control over the fuel market remains, and this does not negatively impact domestic prices in the near term. Duty-free supplies of petroleum products are being implemented under the existing intergovernmental agreement between the ministries of energy of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, based on the approved indicative balance. This creates conditions for stable supplies and protects the domestic market from external risks.
Oil traders point out that the current situation in the fuel market remains stable, and the delivery of petroleum products is proceeding without interruptions according to the established schedule. At the same time, stocks of petroleum products are calculated for two months.
It is worth noting that in January, there was a decrease in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in the republic, amounting to up to 3 soms per liter.
According to oil traders, price adjustments are currently occurring to a limited extent. With the arrival of new batches of fuel to the market, changes in retail prices may occur. The further dynamics of prices for fuel and lubricants will depend on the level of wholesale prices set by oil refineries in Russia.
As a result of the meeting, the following decisions were made within the authority of the service:
- Kyrgyz oil traders are recommended to maintain current prices and avoid sharp increases in fuel costs;
- It is necessary to ensure an adequate stock of fuel and lubricants to meet the domestic market's needs and prevent shortages of petroleum products.
In turn, oil traders confirmed their readiness to maintain uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products until the end of the current year.
