In response to the call from the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kyrgyz Republic, published in the media, the Supreme Court stated the need to create conditions for improving citizens' access to justice. Furthermore, the court emphasizes the importance of increasing the transparency of judicial processes.

The press service of the Supreme Court notes that they are open to constructive criticism and have repeatedly highlighted their readiness to develop the judicial system.

In this context, it is worth noting the data provided by the ombudsman: 816 appeals and complaints do not fully reflect the actual state of affairs. The claim that most applicants are dissatisfied with court decisions is also called into question.

In 2025, first-instance courts processed 280,308 cases, which is 13.52% more than in 2024, when 246,931 cases were considered.

Of the total number of cases, only 5,933 were appealed to the Supreme Court, accounting for just 2.11% of all cases reviewed.
The appeal also mentions reasons that hinder the effective operation of the courts, including the significant workload on judges. The actual number of cases handled by judges exceeds the established norms. For example, in the Chui region, judges handle between 52 to 69 cases per month, while in the capital, they handle up to 90.

According to the standards, there should be no more than 20 cases per month per judge.

It is also necessary to note that the number of Supreme Court judges has remained at 35 since 2003.

Due to changes in district boundaries and population growth, there is a pressing need to increase the number of judges in local courts, as this leads to an increased workload on them.
Additionally, it should be pointed out that the issue of alimony collection is currently not under the jurisdiction of the judicial system and falls under the purview of the General Prosecutor's Office.

Work on equipping courtrooms with audio and video recording systems is ongoing, and information about the implementation of digital technologies in the judicial system is regularly provided to the public.
