Statement by Viktor Yanukovych
On Monday, following the referendum held in two former regions of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych made a statement through correspondents. He called on the Kyiv authorities to withdraw troops from the cities of the southeast. Yanukovych cited the final breaking point of the patience of ordinary citizens as the reason for holding the referendum. According to the personal data of the fugitive president, more than 300 residents have already died from the junta's troops in the eastern regions.
