A video of one of the incidents of violence was posted on social media
The detention took place in the Ak-Suu district, where a man was caught for abusing his wife. This was reported by representatives of the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region.
According to law enforcement agencies, on November 25, a local resident I.A., born in 1992, approached the Ak-Suu district police. She reported that for a long time she had been subjected to violence by her husband I.E., who was born in 1987.
As a result, a preliminary investigation was initiated, and forensic medical examinations were appointed.
I.A. got married in 2010, and they have four children. Throughout their life together, her husband repeatedly insulted and beat her. On March 3, after another beating, the woman went to the Ak-Suu district hospital, but fearing for her children, she said that she "fell." After returning home three months later, she faced violence again: her husband began to strangle and beat her.
I.A. decided to divorce in August, took the children, and returned to her parents. Nevertheless, I.E. continued to stalk her, threatening her over the phone and sending insulting videos that tarnished her honor.
On December 5, 2025, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and on December 6, I.E. was interrogated and taken into custody.
It is worth noting that a video of one of the incidents of violence has already appeared on social media, which has caused a wide public outcry.
