The open championship of Kyrgyzstan in ice climbing took place in the Ala-Archa gorge
The open championship of Kyrgyzstan in ice climbing took place in the Ala-Archa gorge, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the mountaineering section of the "Skif-Polytech" mountain club. This was reported by the organizers representing the Directorate for Non-Olympic Sports and the Federation of Mountaineering and Sport Climbing.

The competition gathered more than 40 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

The championship took place on specially prepared ice routes located on the natural terrain of the Ak-Sai waterfall. The height of this waterfall reaches 70 meters, and it consists of several cascades, situated at an altitude of 2700 meters above sea level.
