Eldar Turdubaev reached the quarterfinals of the Asian Championship in Mongolia

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Eldar Turdubayev has begun his journey at the Asian Boxing Championship taking place in Mongolia.

The competition, organized under the auspices of World Boxing, started on March 30 in Ulaanbaatar.

Turdubayev competes in the under 70 kg category, which features 14 boxers.

He began his tournament journey in the Round of 16, facing a boxer from Turkmenistan. After three rounds, the judges favored the Kyrgyz boxer by a split decision.

Now Turdubayev has advanced to the quarterfinals, where on April 3 he will face a representative from Japan.
