The cost of beach rentals has increased tenfold, but there is no control, - tourism business
Chynybaeva emphasized that the cost of renting a beach has risen to 1 million soms, but this does not grant the right to its full use. "It's like renting an apartment where strangers constantly live," she noted.
According to her, important decisions are made without considering the opinions of businesses and experts. She also pointed out the high costs associated with maintaining the beaches, including garbage removal, which, according to Chynybaeva, amounts to several tons daily and is paid for by entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, she noted that entrepreneurs are open to dialogue and can offer their ideas on rental and beach management issues.
The director of the National Institute of Strategic Initiatives under the President, Adilbek Shumkarbek uulu, responded to the remarks, pointing out the need for specific proposals from businesses that describe existing problems and mechanisms. He added that well-founded initiatives could lead to a revision of some decisions.
A representative of the boarding house on Issyk-Kul, Damir Abdieff, also expressed concern about the lack of stability in beach management and emphasized the importance of clear regulation. By investing significant funds in infrastructure, entrepreneurs face difficulties accessing the beaches.
Abdieff noted that open access creates an additional burden on the infrastructure and leads to increased costs. He suggested considering the possibility of partially restricting access to rented beaches on the condition of raising the rental rate.
Additionally, he emphasized that an increase in rental rates could affect the cost of vacations for tourists. "If the rental price rises, it will inevitably impact the prices of services, such as sunbeds," he added.
Discussion participants also agreed that additional measures are needed to improve the behavior culture of vacationers and compliance with existing rules.
