President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a response letter to his Kyrgyz colleague Sadyr Japarov. This letter was a reaction to the congratulations received in connection with the opening of the 43rd session of the General Conference of UNESCO taking place in Samarkand. In his address, Mirziyoyev thanked Kyrgyzstan for its active participation in the event and the country's delegation that took part in the forum.
The head of the Uzbek state noted that Japarov's warm words about the significance of holding this important international event outside the UNESCO headquarters in ancient Samarkand reflect Uzbekistan's growing influence and authority in Central Asia, which he values highly.
The president also supported the view that the important initiatives and decisions made at the conference would open new opportunities for global cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture. According to him, this would contribute to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the countries.
Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the growing fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries and the forthcoming development of bilateral relations at the highest level would lead to a qualitative improvement in strategic partnership.
