Kyrgyzstan Became a Member of the UNESCO Executive Board

Kyrgyzstan has become a member of the UNESCO Executive Board, receiving support from 153 out of 194 countries.

The 43rd session of the organization was held for the first time outside of Paris, in Samarkand.

The UNESCO Executive Board is an important governing body that prepares for the General Conference, implements its decisions, and determines program priorities. It consists of 58 members elected for a term of four years.
