In Astana, the CSTO Military-Economic Cooperation Was Discussed

At the XXIII meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation of the CSTO in Astana, the results of the Commission's work following the XXII meeting, which took place in September of last year in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic), were discussed.

As part of the agenda, directions for further development of military-economic interaction between the CSTO member states were also considered.

Among the key issues discussed were the organization of training for specialists in the defense-industrial complexes, the creation of an intergovernmental cataloging system for materials for the armed forces, as well as issues related to the protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity arising during cooperation. Corresponding decisions were made on all discussed points.

In addition, the Commission decided to hold the II Military-Economic Conference of the CSTO in 2026 in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), where the results of the Commission's 20 years of work will be summarized and new tasks for the near future will be defined.
