
An agreement has been reached at a high level
The next Central Asia-Japan summit will take place in Kazakhstan, as reported by the Akorda.
The event, which gathered leaders from Central Asian countries and Japan, as well as representatives from business and politics, took place on December 20.
As a result of the summit, Kazakhstan and Japan signed over 60 agreements totaling more than 3.7 billion dollars.
Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized: “Such a summit is of immense significance for both Japan and the entire Central Asia. These meetings highlight the growing international importance of our region and its substantial role in global processes. Kazakhstan is ready to create favorable conditions for Japanese investments.”
Kyrgyzstan also signed about 20 bilateral agreements with Japan.
The forum concluded with the adoption of the Tokyo Declaration, and the presidency of this initiative has passed to Astana. The leaders of Central Asia and Japan agreed to hold the next summit in Kazakhstan.
